7 Things To Stop Thinking Right Now So You Can Quit A Job You Hate

how bad do you want this

Stop thinking these things so you can get out of your own way, quit your 9-5 and create your purpose led business spending time doing what you love making a difference in people’s lives

This is for you if you get caught up in judging yourself and others

You get stuck in time travelling to the past and future

You get caught up in fear and worry

If we’re not talking to ourselves like a loved and trusted friend we have a problem

Negative self talk isn’t going to get us where we want to go

It holds us back. Drags us down. Then we complain that we’re stuck. We’re not. Our thinking is

It needs to change

Our thoughts can’t hurt us unless we let them

Everything is energy. Bad thoughts make us feel bad. Good thoughts make us feel good. Every thought has a consequence. Our actions are driven by our thoughts and emotions

1. What’s wrong with me? This one was huge for me. It came from my childhood. I thought I was too broken. Too damaged. Too traumatised. I was wrong

2. No-one wants to hear what I have to say. Another big one for me. Again it goes back to my childhood

3. What will people think? Big killer of dreams. Other people aren’t living your life. You are

4. I'm going to be stuck like this forever. Another big one for me. It was as if I thought I was the only person in the world who couldn’t change into who I knew I could be. Total bs

5. I don’t know enough. Never trust anyone who’s stopped learning. If you’ve worked on a problem you had, know that there are others who have that same problem and know you can help others with that same problem, you know enough

6. It’s too hard. No. Working a job you hate is hard. Being stuck in an office 5 days a week is hard. Commuting to a job you’re done with is hard. Not having enough time for yourself or your family is hard. Having someone else dictate your time is hard. Being told what to do every day is hard. Being stuck in a rut is hard. Dreading Mondays is hard. Dreading the alarm going off in the morning is hard. Working towards your own freedom isn’t

7. What if I fail?  You’re not afraid of failure. You’re afraid of what it will mean about you. What will people think? What will people say? You’ll make it mean you’re not good enough. You’ll make it mean you can’t do this. All fear based bs. You keep going until it works. Again ask yourself this: how bad do I want this?

This is the action you need to take right now

Change every crappy thought about yourself into its empowering opposite

If you hear yourself saying any of these things or anything else to yourself do it in the mirror see how your face looks. Get a photo of you as a child and say it to that child. Record yourself so you can hear what it sounds like

Be mindful. Stop time travelling to the past and future. This will help you stay in the moment, enjoy the now, and be the person you want to be
